Happy Father's Day, Daddy

my dad
Pittsburgh, PA, 1970-ish,

This is probably my favorite picture ever of my dad and me. I can't put my finger on why, precisely; something about how young he is, and now much this looks like just a normal day. Like we were just outside talking a walk and someone took our picture. Like this is just a little slice of what life was like when I was little.

I love you, Daddy. Happy Father's Day.

What a sweet photo--you look a lot like your dad.

And, clearly you have always been a fashion trendsetter.

SUCH a great picture. Your dad is a goodlooking guy. And yes, you do look like him. But you don't look like a goodlooking guy-- you look like a pretty girl.

It's late. You know what I mean.

Is this a good time to remind you all that my dad reads this website?

Why yes, he does.

Hi, Daddy!

I'm just posting to agree: cute pants, hot dad.

(Seriously - some of my students would kill for those pants. I might even wear 'em myself, if I hadn't been through the '70s once already.)

I'm sure your father is having a happier fathers' day than he expected!

Your dad looks like Prince Harry. And we all know that those English Princes are hot! (Possibly with the exception of Charles).

S, are you from Pittsburgh? I LURV Pitt -- did I gush about that already? Seriously. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Best kept secret in America -- though we came from Cleveland, so the only place to go was up.

Read about my experience last summer: http://scarbiedoll.blogspot.com/2006/08/pittsburgh-who-knew.html

I'm actually not from Pittsburgh; my mother grew up there, and when the photo was taken, we were visiting family.

But yes, Pittsburgh IS fantastic.

Not to creep you out, but look at a picture of your dad next to a picture of Wade without his glasses...

Not twins, by a long stretch, but there ARE similarities...

I was rockin' a hangover this morning, BTW.
